QUICK
ANSWERS.
Why is there a ₦5,000 fee?
It secures your place at the official EKO6 trial and helps us keep the process organised, competitive and serious. It also helps cover trial costs and keeps no-shows out of sessions built for players who mean it.
Can I buy my way into the Founding 64?
No. The fee cannot buy selection, influence an evaluator or guarantee a club place. Selection is decided by football only, through the footage review and the live trial.
Can I get my ₦5,000 back?
Yes, in full, in two cases: if we shortlist you directly for the Founding 64 based on your footage or playing background, or if EKO6 cancels the trial. If we only reschedule, your place carries over. If you attend the trial and are not selected, the fee is not refunded.
Who can register?
Players aged 16 and over who can attend trials in Lagos. If you are 16 or 17, a parent or legal guardian must give written consent before you can play.
What happens after I register and pay?
We send your call-up: session time, venue, arrival time and player instructions. You then play competitive small-sided games built around the EKO6 format.
MORE QUESTIONS (7)
Do I have to send a video?
No. Footage and a football CV are optional, so good players without recorded matches are not left out. If you have them, they help us review you, and exceptional applicants may be fast-tracked.
What is the player card photo for?
Founding 64 players get an official EKO6 player card for matchday, club pages and social content. A headshot or action photo is optional now, and you can send one later if you are selected.
Do I need to follow EKO6 to be selected?
No. Following, tagging or being reposted has zero effect on selection. Football ability is judged through the review and the live trials only.
Do I need to have played in a league?
No. The form asks where you play and at what level, from professional to street football. Everyone is considered.
How is the Founding 64 split?
Sixty players get registered places, ten in each of the six clubs. The other four are standby reserves. They only come in as approved replacements if a registered player withdraws, is injured or is unavailable.
What do I need if I am selected?
Valid ID, date of birth, contact and emergency details, relevant medical information, a signed participation agreement and media consent. Under 18s also need guardian consent.
Can I skip the trial?
Only if we invite you to. Exceptional applicants may be directly shortlisted based on submitted footage or playing background. Everyone else is judged at the live trial.
